Wind Farms

A wind farm is the name given to a number of large three pin windmills that create energy for houses with the power of the wind. Wind farms are becoming more popular because they are great they run on the power of the earth and do not produce pollution. Some people do not like wind farms, some say they are loud or ugly but everyone in Three Little Woods love them. A lot of people feel the same, countries such as Germany have lots of wind farms.

Wind farms can only go in the countryside because large fields are needed. People can’t live too close because they are a little noisy. All of this is done without producing any pollution for the environment.

Tidal Energy

Energy can be created from the use of the waves, this is called tidal energy. Large turbine pumps are put out at sea. They use the force of the strong waves and convert it into energy. In some cases they use wind turbines out at sea as the wind is very strong out there. Like Wind farms Tidal energy can supply small areas with all the energy that they need. This means that not only can people in the countryside live from wind energy but so can the people who live by the coast. We can make use of all the land in this way and only produce energy that does not pollute the atmosphere.
