Honey and Sesame Seed Parsnips- Nan Fran's Recipe

Method:

Preheat oven to gas mark/ 180 C.
Peel the parsnips and cut them in halves down the middle (Ask an adult to help you with this)
Put 1 tablespoon of oil into the ovenproof dish and pop into the oven after about a minute ask an adult to get the dish out ( remember the oil will be boiling hot)
Place the parsnips in the oil making sure you do not touch the dish.
Drizzle the honey over the parsnips and add the sesame seeds and with the help of an adult place them back in the oven for 45 minutes. Making sure half way through you turn them over.
After 45 minutes ask an adult to get them out of the oven and they are now ready to serve as a side dish or part of a meal.
