I don’t know about where you live, but in Three Little Woods it gets pretty exciting when it reaches Halloween! Halloween is on the 31st of October, some people say the Halloween festival tradition is 6000 years old. When Halloween comes around everyone in Three Little Woods comes to my allotment to get their pumpkins.
A few days before Halloween I teach different people how to carve their pumpkins so they have a face and a lid.
Try to carve pumpkins in the week before Halloween this way you have it for a week until Halloween and it is still fresh.
