The Environment (continued)

Pollution - has a large effect on what is called the ozone layer. The ozone layer is a hole in the atmosphere over the Antarctic which is open because of the release of man made chemicals in the air. They say it may close this century (Before 3000) but other scientists say that problems such as global warming may slow it down.

Global Warming - global warming is happening as you read this. Global warming is the result of pollution. Some of the problems it may cause include earlier seasons where the summers are getting hotter and the winters colder. The icebergs will melt which means the sea level rising. It is a climate change and the opposite is GLOBAL COOLING this is when it gets a lot colder. In the past global cooling caused the ICE AGES where everything was frozen.
