Our Chosen Charity
Our chosen charity this year is The worlds rainforests lie near to the equator, mostly found in Africa, South America and Asia. Rainforests are very important for animals, plants and people. The huge amounts of trees and plants clean our air and give back oxygen, these forests are also a pharmacy of medicines for native people. Rainforests provide all year round food such as fruit, nuts and seeds or the creatures that live there. The disappearance of our rainforests will see the loss of thousands of plants, insects, mushrooms, animals and birds.

This is why Dan the gardener has found a new charity to work with that funds rainforest protection and conservation. Dan the Gardener sponsors the protection of rainforest with the rainforest rescue project sponsored by Sky and the WWF.
You too can help by supporting the Rainforest Rescue here
The aim of this project is to try and conserve 1 billion trees, around 3 million hectares of rainforest which is about the size of Belgium.
Coming soon Dan the Gardener visits the Asian rainforests in Borneo and Sumatra, look out for new photos, articles and stories from two of the worlds most beautiful and endangered rainforests.
